Canvas and Microsoft 365 Access Information

CIO has compiled this three-step process to ensure that every student and fellow has access to all 3 academic digital sites. 

USAWC will be using the .edu email as primary delivery of academic information for

  • Canvas
  • Compass 
  • Microsoft 365

Follow these steps to set and/or confirm your access --

1. GO TO Compass, https://apps.armywarcollege.edu/compass/home.cfm

a. At "Manage my Accounts," choose Microsoft 365 link, then select (on right side of page) see M365 login instructions to view username and interim password.

2. Verify access to Microsoft 365 at https://www.office.com/ 

Apply username and interim password and create new password.

3. Verify access to Canvas at https://canvas.asu.edu/
a. Prior to the start of your program at the USAWC, you will receive an onboarding email from noreply-ulis@asu.edu with the subject line "Army University Learning Platform – Verify Email."
i. You will be prompted to verify your personal information and choose a password to complete the onboarding process.
b. Navigate to https://canvas.asu.edu
c. Log in using the username and password you established during the onboarding process.
 
Note: If you have not received the Canvas onboarding email, please contact the USAWC Support Desk at usawc-support@asu.edu or (571) 821-7600. A support representative will assist you with obtaining access.

Final check: Once access is confirmed, Log in to Compass and change primary email to reflect your .edu address (if not already .edu).

Account Access is available to faculty, students and select staff. To receive an account you must contact your director regarding Microsoft 365 access. Please relay any questions to servicedesk@armywarcollege.edu.
