Implementation of the REAL-ID Act began May 7, 2025. While all States are fully compliant with REAL-ID requirements, Carlisle Barracks will continue to follow established procedures for installation access. There are no changes to our current access policy.

While we accept REAL-ID driver's licenses, we will continue to accept driver's licenses which are not REAL-ID compliant for access if presented with a secondary form of ID. A secondary form of ID may include the following:
- United States Passport or United States Passport Card
- Permanent Resident Card/Alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551)
- Foreign passport with a temporary (I-551) stamp or temporary (I-551) printed notation on a machine-readable immigrant visa
- Employment authorization document that contains a photograph (Form I-766)
- In the case of a nonimmigrant alien authorized to work for a specific employer incident to status, a foreign passport with Form I-94 or Form I-94A bearing the same name as the Passport
- U.S. Military or Draft record
- U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Cards
- Transportation Worker Identification Card
- Native American Tribal Document
- Credit/Debit Card
- Health Insurance Card
- Medicare/Medicaid Card
- Veterans Service Organization Card (VFW, AMVETS, etc.)
- VA Health Insurance Card
- Concealed Weapon Card
- Hunting/Fishing License
- Union Membership Card
