The Learning Policy and Quality Assurance (LPQA) Branch of the Faculty and Staff Development Division (FSDD) designs and implements policies and programs that develop faculty & staff while maintaining the standards of higher education for future military leaders to support the strategic vision of Army University (AU). The team will help shape the professional learning environment for all faculty and staff to achieve excellence throughout the Army learning enterprise.

Our Staff

The LPQA Branch is composed of civilian and military personnel within the AU Faculty and Staff Development Division. The team helps shape the professional learning environment for all faculty and staff to achieve excellence throughout the Army learning enterprise. As a result, the branch is on the leading edge of faculty & staff development program planning and evaluation, assessment, and continuing education.

Our Vision

The LPQA branch of the Faculty and Staff Development Division (FSDD) designs and implements policies and programs that develop faculty & staff while maintaining the standards of higher education for future professional military leaders to support the strategic vision of Army University. We strive to be an integral part of the Army Team by providing Centers and Schools feedback and guidance to develop and implement quality doctrine, training, and education for Army faculty.

Our Goals

  • Design, write, and review policies supporting faculty & staff development in terms of training, recognition, education, and administration.
  • Support middle managers through the development of the TEDMMC.
  • Monitor and improve policies and practices regarding (pre-) accreditation, learner-centric programs, and quality assurance IAW Army Enterprise Accreditation Standards.
  • Coordinate with the Army QA office, along with the Centers of Excellence, to build the Army Accreditation Evaluation Program framework for all Army learning institutions.
  • Develop innovative ways to evaluate and enhance learning performance of facilitators, curriculum developers, and program managers.
  • Disseminate lessons learned from program evaluations throughout the Army PME enterprise by leveraging technology and learning networks.
  • Assist in developing and teaching FSDD curriculum.

Faculty Development Recognition Program (FDRP)

The FDRP is a voluntary program for Army enlisted, commissioned officers, warrant officers and civilians. This program was created to develop, train, and mentor instructors. In the Army, learning is continuous. This program was created to help inform and recognize excellence in the instructor broadening assignment.
