Mission

The School for Command Preparation (SCP) conducts resident courses and synchronizes the Army’s Command Team Preparation Programs in order to provide formations with competent, committed leaders of character prepared to lead change, win in Multi-Domain Operations, and ready to meet the Army's 21st Century challenges.


Vision

The Army’s foremost school for the preparation of command teams, comprised of Army professionals dedicated to the development of current and future command teams across the Total Army resulting in empowered, competent, and committed leaders better prepared to meet the Army’s readiness challenges.


How to Enroll

Compo 1:

Students going into command or change of responsibility who need to attend any SCP courses need to schedule in ATRRS under school 701 and the course the student needs to attend.

Battalion Command
Active Lieutenant Colonels & Majors going into battalion command are scheduled by HRC,
Brigade Command
Active Colonels going into brigade command are scheduled by HQDA/SLD,

Upon receiving a change in responsibility, you should be scheduled by HRC,
