Benjamin S. Valentine

Benjamin S. Valentine currently serves as the Chief of Staff and Director of Education and Training at the U.S. Army Warrant Officer Career College. He began his civilian service in 2003 as an Engineering Technician with the Aviation Technical Test Center and moved to the U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center (USACRC) in 2006 where he served as course manager for the Ground Safety Officer Course until 2016. He then served as Chief, Safety and Risk Management Training Division, responsible for all resident training at the USACRC, until departing for a two-year active-duty assignment. Upon return, Mr. Valentine served as the Quality Assurance Director at the USACRC until February 2024 when he accepted his current position.

Mr. Valentine's Military service began when he enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1985-. He served as a UH-1 H Helicopter Mechanic and Crew Chief until selection to attend the U.S. Military Academy Preparatory School followed by an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. Mr. Valentine commissioned as an Aviation Officer in 1993. His most rewarding assignments were the active-duty tour as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Commanding General for the ARNG at the US Army Combined Arms Support Command and his time as Commander, 62nd Troop Command with the Alabama ARNG. Following successful Brigade Command, Ben retired after nearly 38 years of uniformed service.

Mr. Valentine's military awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit (with oak leaf cluster}, Bronze Star Medal; Meritorious Service Medal (with oak leaf cluster); Army Commendation Medal (with oak leaf cluster); Army Achievement Medal; Navy Achievement Medal; Army Aviator Badge; Parachutist Badge; and Air Assault Badge.

Mr. Valentine's education includes a Bachelor of Science in U.S. History from West Point, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from Trident University International, and A Master's Degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. His military education includes Airborne, Air Assault, Aviation Officer Basic and Advanced Courses; Aviation Maintenance Officer Course; U.S. Army Combined Arms & Services Staff School; Support Operations Course; Senior Transportation Officer Qualification Course; Joint Logistics Course; Command and General Staff College Intermediate Level Education; and the Army War College.
